Oceans (Where feet may fail)

"We stand at the edge of an enormous, unfathomably infinite, mysterious God. We see such a small part. We know He is good, we just cannot comprehend how much more there is...how much good, how much great, how much holy, how much wonderful."  Why then do I fear? Where is my faith? I'm stepping out, into the unknown...

You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep
My faith will stand

And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You've never failed and You won't start now

So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

I will call upon Your Name
Keep my eyes above the waves
My soul will rest in Your embrace
I am Yours and You are mine

A little bit more food for thought

Matthew 14:22-33

22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. 25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

29 “Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

Quote of the Day

"Walking with God isn't always the most popular thing to do. You might not be considered "fun" any more, or too "churchy". You might be called a prude because your clothes don't show enough skin. You'll miss out on today's popular movies and music that promote immorality and talk about things you don't buy into anymore. You might lose friends or family. Some wont know how to relate to you anymore. But keep on keepin' on with your convictions. Go against the grain of the world! HE is by your side ever step of the way!"

Carry On....

There is just something about music that touches me, and that brings out my emotions; sets me in a thoughtful frame of mind. Music speaks to my heart. Today, as I was going about my morning, listening to my iPod and thinking about my blog post, I heard this song "Carry On" by Kutless. I just had to stop for a moment and listen, and of course (because of the emotional person I am) tears came running down my face.

There is strength in my weakness
That only comes from You
There is power in meekness
That I have found in You
Where else can I go

I don't think there has ever been a time in my life that I have noticed my weaknesses so plainly as I have in the past 2 years. And to often I let myself get discouraged over that, this is nothing more than my human pride at work. For, whatever brings me to my knees in weakness is a good thing, right? Because, in the midst of my weakness, Gods strength is made perfect.

You know I'm weak
I know You're strong
You say when I'm broken
And can't carry on
Carry on
When all my strength is gone
You're still holding on
There is love for the lonely
That only comes from You
There is peace and forgiveness
That I have found in You
Where else can I go
You are the Way
You are the light
You are the voice calling me through the night
(You are Holy and just
Full of mercy and love
You are patient and kind
Your grace has opened my eyes)

There is true value in weakness
because it helps me view my life under the light of God's mercy.

2 Corinthians 12:9 || "But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

My thoughts for the day(:
Love and Blessings always.
