"We cannot cure the world of sorrows, but we can choose to live in joy"
This is something I have really hard time grasping. believe. living.
Especially when I cannot seem to get through a day without making a mistake, saying or doing something wrong, and dealing with the consequences of a bad choice.
I always feel like it is my responsibility to fix things, but I always just make them worse. And I am sorry.

I want to choose Joy....but I am at war with myself. Its hard. And easier said than done.
just what is on my heart tonight

You sound pretty normal to me. Something tells me your mistakes are bigger in your own eyes than in others. It's easy to read that you are remorseful about them and that it hurts you. I think the big guy in the sky knows you have a good heart. I beat myself up over mistakes also and it sucks( And I'll bet you I've made bigger mistakes than you). We want to be perfect and we are not even close. You said it perfectly though "easier said than done" Keep focusing on the "Done" part. Your going to be OK!! Don 216..
ReplyDeleteThank you for that Don, I really really appriciate the comments that you leave on my blog.....it is so encouraging to hear feedback and encouragment. Bless you! (P.s. do I know who you are?)
DeleteReminds me of Romans 7... vs. 19-24. But us "wretched men" need to focus on 8:1 despite it all;;, because of Jesus... There is therefore NO condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Thanks, I enjoy hearing your thoughts. -Steve Hill
DeleteHowdy Rose, Nope. I'm in Oregon in the foot hills of Mt Hood. I actually posted my first post in your "The Struggle" post. Didn't know I was suppose to sign it until I read your thanks for stopping by comment below. I started reading Rural Revolution blog and then Providence blog(Which are both awesome reading btw) and found your blog linked to Providence. Your blog is an encouragement to me also. I have doubts at times also and so I thought it would be polite to jump in and let you know that your blog is appreciated and uplifting. Hope I'm not bugging you I'm sure it's kinda weird having a stranger posting. Don 216..
